Artists' Brushes

Producers of quality brushes for over 150 years.

The best quality artists' brushes are still made by hand, and this expertise of craftsmanship is coupled with the use of high grade materials.

The Ferrules on an Artists' Brush should be strong, corrosion resistant, and seamless. Consistency is important because the size of the brush head is determined by the diameter of the ferrule at the point hair emerges.

The perfect brush handle is a mixutre of weight, shape, balance and comfort, all of which can vary according to the size and function of a brush. Winsor & Newton handles are designed with these requirements in mind, and are manufactured to the highest standards using seasoned hardwood.

Good, well kept brushes will have a much longer life and be far more pleasant to work with:- always clean brushes immediately after use, never leave brushes resting on their bristles or hairs, shape up the hairs after cleaning, if storing brushes for any length of time, make sure they are clean and perfectly dry before putting them away in a box with a tight fitting lid.

Finity Artists' Acrylic Colour

Finity Artist's Acrylic Colour has been developed to be the most superior range of acrylics available. The 74 colours in the range offer the widest spectrum, maximim permanence, optimum brilliance and intensity of colour plus unsurpassed covering power and tinting strength. A total of 73 different pigments are used to produce the range of 74 Artists' Acrylic Colours, thereby ensuring cleaner, brighter mixes.

The range has been formulated to a soft, buttery consistency whilst still providing excellent retention of brush stroke marks. The colours remain workable slightly longer than other acrylic colours and dry to a non-tacky uniform satan finish. Finity Artists' Acrylics show minimal colour shift from the wet colour to dry finish.
